How does this blog work?
I will post a new look every Tuesday and Sunday (unless I have some huge, all-day plan; then I'll do a makeup makeup post.) Every set of looks will correspond to a theme. One theme cycle is two weeks- that means at least four posts per theme (2 looks per Tuesday/Sunday) and potentially more depending on how successful the theme is. I will announce the theme for a particular cycle on the first Tuesday of that cycle. Our first theme starts tomorrow!
You can vote for which theme you'd like to see next in the poll on the right hand side, underneath the search bar. If you have any upcoming theme suggestions, please let me know!
Music Makeup Movies
My love for makeup stems from when I was really young. I used to be really into musical theatre, and the makeup aspect of it really intrigued me. I took a few classes on theatrical makeup design when I was younger, which turned into a love for SFX, which somehow turned into a fascination with the everyday art of makeup. As a result, my looks are very fantasy-oriented. As an artist, I like to bring a little bit of fantasy into my life every day. That's what I'm going to try and do for you here. Makeup has no rules.I am going into my freshmen year of college, majoring in Broadcast & Cinema Arts. I come from a heavy film and music background ("music makeup movies.") I do not have a back up plan. I have three equal, corresponding passions.
I plan on getting a YouTube set up soon to post video tutorials. Until then, I'll use pictures and words the best I can to teach you whatever you'd like to know. Don't be afraid to leave comments and get in touch with me! Makeup is an art form with no limitations. This is gonna be fun for me. I hope it's fun for you, too!
