Cycle 2, Look One: Lil Debbie

Lil Debbie

Cycle 2's theme is WHITE GIRL MOB! While the group may be on and off, their dramatic makeup looks are certainly forever. My first look is based off of the pointed liner look made famous by Lil Debbie, my personal favorite member of the Mob. She's a glamour queen and a bad bitch and I love her style!

This particular look is not something I would recommend for beginners or people with little patience. While it was fun and I love the way it looks, it took a long time! I did it free hand, though- you could shorten the time it takes by using tape along the lower lash line and extending to the end of the eyebrow as a guide tool.

Eyeliner

I drew a line extending from the outer v of my eyelid to where I wanted the point of the wing to be (Debbie's are near the end of her eyebrow for maximum drama but you can put yours wherever you'd like), then drew another line from the end of the wing to the inner corner in the signature shape of Debbie's liner. For the outline I used a smudge-able crayon liner in black in case I messed up....which I did! A lot! I colored the outline in with my Benefit Magic Ink liquid liner. It's a gorgeous glossy black...but Debbie's liner is not glossy! I layered Urban Decay's satin black shadow Black Market (Vice Palette) over the liner to give it a gel like look. If I made a mistake, I cleaned it up with a Q-tip and a bit of water.

Eyelids

Although I was using good enough eyeliner that it wasn't necessary, I did use a good base for the liner just to create contrast. First I applied concealer on my lids, using Benefit Some Kind-a Gorgeous (Medium) because it's light and breathable. Next, I used Urban Decay's Walk of Shame eyeshadow (Naked Basics) all over the lid, placed carefully and blended with a Sonia Kashuk Sponge Tip Applicator brush. I used Urban Decay's Anonymous (Vice Palette) in the brow bone and blended. I periodically touched up WOS as I played with my liner. When my liner was finalized, I used a bit of Tarte 24 Hour Concealer in Fair on the lid and blended, then reapplied WOS to up the contrast and thus, the drama.

Brows/Lashes

Debbie's brows are very boxy and chic. I did some very light filling in with my Urban Decay Brow Box in Brown Sugar. I squared off the ends by drawing a line with the lighter shade on the edge of my brow, then using my finger, a brow brush, and a q-tip to blend like crazy! Don't just draw the line on and call it a day!

My lashes just have mascara on them, applied normally. Rimmel London ScandalEYES in black and Too Faced Lash Injection in black.

Lips

To get that perfect white-peach, I combined ELF Studio Matte Lip Color in Nearly Nude and an old, pink lipstick. I applied the ELF color all over my lips and blended around the edges, then dabbed the pink all over and applied another coat of ELF. Then, using a lip brush, I applied the pink lipstick as a lipliner and blended in, creating a subtle ombre.

Complete Look

 Notes

Remember- eyeliner will NEVER be perfect. We're all guilty of spending an extra hour in our makeup mirror trying to get our wings to look like tattoos, but sometimes it's better to TAKE A STEP BACK and DEAL WITH IT! Even start over! Don't get too frustrated. Along the same lines, because you don't have Lil Debbie's face, even if you make your wings at the same angle as hers they won't look exactly the same. Mine are a little more straight than hers, but they still give that triangular look. Just keep that in mind!

I contoured my cheeks a little bit with a foundation a shade darker than my skin color and a bit of matte bronzer, blended THOROUGHLY. This isn't necessary for the look, but I prefer it because my face is so round.

I hope you all like the first of the Cycle 2 White Girl Mob looks! Don't forget! Lil Debbie doesn't ask for permission, and neither should you. (:

If you have any questions, let me know! Expect the next look on Sunday.

Don't forget to vote for the next theme in the right hand corner of the screen, right below the search bar! New options! Thanks for voting last week, keep it coming!
